Ecléctica Barcelona 2026: design, interiors and creativity in a successful first edition

From 4 to 13 June, the Círculo Ecuestre hosted the first edition of Ecléctica Barcelona, a cultural event that brought together interior design, architecture, art, fashion, gastronomy and design in a unique experience.

With more than 8,000 visitors, 38 activities and a second edition already announced for 2027, the event has burst onto the city’s creative scene with the ambition of becoming an unmissable date for design professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Part of the Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026 programme, the initiative has shown the huge interest in projects that connect creativity, culture and new ways of living.

For Cubiñá, taking part in this first edition was an opportunity to share our way of understanding spaces: through collaboration, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Our participation in Ecléctica Barcelona: the Vestidor Suite project

Our participation took shape in Vestidor Suite, the space designed by Ricard Trenchs together with Juan Avellaneda. An immersive concept in which interior design, fashion, jewellery and lighting came together in a single story to turn the bedroom and dressing room into a sensory experience.

At Cubiñá, we took part in the bespoke manufacture of the space’s main structural elements, produced in our workshop based on the design created by Trenchs Studio. These included the display columns, the mirrored panels and various architectural pieces created to guide the route through the space, visually multiply the presence of the garments and reinforce the project’s immersive atmosphere.

We also collaborated on the specification of furniture and decorative lighting, incorporating carefully selected design pieces and solutions created specifically for this temporary installation.

The result was a domestic stage set in which interior architecture, fashion, jewellery and lighting interacted naturally.

The light of rest: design, wellbeing and craftsmanship

One of the most special moments of our participation was the workshop “La luz del descanso” (The Light of Rest), organised together with Bover.

During the session, we reflected on how lighting influences wellbeing and the way we experience spaces. Beyond its practical function, light has the ability to transform environments, accompany our daily rhythms and contribute to the comfort of those who live in them.

To close, attendees were able to see up close the handcrafted ribbon-wrapping process behind Bover’s iconic ribbon lamps. A demonstration that highlighted the precision, technical knowledge and manual work behind every piece.

Ecléctica Barcelona 2026 in figures: more than 8,000 visitors

Ecléctica Barcelona has shown the interest generated by projects that bring together creativity, design and culture from an open, cross-disciplinary perspective.

For ten days, professionals, creators and visitors shared the same space to discover new ways of living, thinking about and experiencing design. Its success with both audiences and programming confirms that Barcelona remains a privileged setting for driving conversations around architecture, creativity and contemporary life.

More than 8,000 visitors toured the different installations over the ten days of programming. The event also brought together 38 parallel activities, including workshops, talks and experiences, consolidating a format committed to dialogue between creative disciplines and to bringing design to increasingly diverse audiences.

Its success confirms that Barcelona remains a privileged setting for driving conversations around architecture, creativity and contemporary life.

We were also especially pleased to be able to give away invitations to our community, so that clients, collaborators, followers and design lovers could experience the event first-hand.

Sharing this experience with the people who are part of our everyday life was, without a doubt, one of the most rewarding aspects of this edition.

We hope everyone who was able to join us enjoyed Ecléctica as much as we did.

Thank you for making it possible

We would like to thank Ricard Trenchs and the Trenchs Studio team for their vision; Juan Avellaneda for bringing a perspective that connects design, culture and lifestyle; Bover for sharing such an enriching experience; and the Ecléctica Barcelona team for driving a project born with enormous potential to inspire and grow.
