Josep María Massana y Josep María Tremoleda

JM Massana, Barcelona (1947) and JM Tremoleda (1946), both natives of Barcelona, are pioneers of industrial design in the city. Both graduated from the Escola Massana in the first promotion of this discipline in 1969 and since then they have been an inseparable team.

In 1973 they founded, with Mariano Ferrer, Mobles 114, a furniture store and interior design studio where they created their first designs. Mobles 114 became one of the furniture publishers of national reference and edited a catalog of contemporary furniture that emphasized humanistic values as part of its identity.

These two designers create design furniture that, oblivious to passing trends, maintain their relevance without depending on the era, only on themselves.
